These shots show us loading the eight cars into the two containers – apparently the technical term is “stuffing” them. And in the case of BlueB this we almost did! Simon and Ken had done a magnificent job of preparing a wooden mezzanine floor structure with ramps to allow the fourth car in each container to be transported above the other three. One of the shots shows BlueB backing up the ramp but we hadn’t reckoned on the height of the tool box on BlueB’s luggage rack in relation to the angle of approach and the bracing. Fortunately an eagle-eyed spotter called a halt before the aforesaid potential stuff-up eventuated. Thereafter BlueB was relegated to the lower deck.
We have since heard they arrived in Valparaiso in great shape.
